Sofiya Fedyna: I appeal to international and to all human rights organizations, to all people who share democratic values and to Ukrainian community all over the world.
With these words I declare political persecution in Ukraine against me as a politician, against opposition and my colleagues, against veterans, volunteers and all the servicemen who for the last 5 years were protecting Ukraine with all the possible ways against Moscow aggression in Ukraine. This political persecution are done by current representatives or authorities started from the President of Ukraine and Prosecutor General. Why they start to persecute us?
Because veterans, volunteers and all the service men, activists and opposition today are the only people who stand against Moscow aggression. And who demand to restore sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and who demand the punishment of Russian Federation as a subject of international relationships who annex Crimea, who occupied Donbas and who inspires conflict all over the world.
I am persecuted only for my words, but there are shootings in the war zone, the bombs are exploding there and people are dying there. And it is dangerous to go to the war zone for the President in white or blue shirt. My freedom of speech is given by article 33 of Constitution of Ukraine and article 10 of The European Human Rights Convention. But in Ukraine freedom of speech is about to be declared a crime. So I appeal to international to all human rights organizations, Ukrainians all over the world immediately to pay attention to what is going on in Ukraine. Because if Ukraine collaborates with Russian Federation then every next European country might become a victim. As long as we have civil society activists, volunteers and veterans who are going to stand of these processes, then we have a chance to have independent democratic international society.
